Biggest factories in the world

We are presenting this list of biggest factories based on many factors, many will have different answers for this.

7. Air Bus Jean-Luc Lagardère Plant

        Jean-Luc Lagardère Plant is Located in Toulouse-Blagnac(france) is mainly used as a final assembly line in the production of the 800-seater, $428 million Airbus A380. It has a 470m long assembly line has a footprint of 122,500 m².


The site, with a total surface area of more than 200 hectares consists of
- 20 hectares of outdoor aeroplane tarmac, served by taxiways that also ensure access to the airport,
- an energy and fluid production plant, connected to the buildings by technical galleries,
- a fuel station,
- Offices, company restaurants, a congress centre and associated services.

6. Belvidere Assembly Plant

       The factory has 5,300,000 square feet (490,000 m2) of floor space over 280 acres (1.1 km2) of land.The Simulation (SIM) Room comprises 38,000 square feet (3,500 m2) of the factory and is used to create a miniature production process and to test the layout of job stations, and creating standard work instructions.





5. Mitsubishi Motors North America


      This is located at Normal, Illinois with a footprint of 220,000 m² with 920 m length and 200 m width. Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. is the North American operation of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, overseeing sales, manufacturing and research and development functions. The company manufactures and sells Mitsubishi brand cars and sport utility vehicles through a network of almost 700 dealers in Canada and the United States.


4. Boeing Factory in Everett

      The Boeing Everett Factory, in Everett, Washington, is an airplane assembly building owned by Boeing. Located on the northeast corner of Paine Field, it is the largest building in the world by volume at 13,385,378 m3 (472,370,319 cu ft) and covers 399,480 m2 (98.3 acres). This is the factory where the wide-body Boeing 747, 767, 777, and 787 are assembled.



3. Tesla Factory

        The Tesla Factory is an automobile manufacturing plant in Fremont, California, US, and the principal production facility of Tesla Motors. The facility was formerly known as New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota.
It has a footprint of  510,000 m².



2. Hyundai Motor Company’s Ulsan Factory

        Hyundai is currently the fourth largest vehicle manufacturer in the world. Hyundai operates the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea, which has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million units. Ulsan Plant is comprised of five independent plant facilities on a land spanning 5,000,000 square meters.



1. Volkswagen Wolfsburg Plant

Wolfsburg plant is of an area of 6,500,000 m² and employee strength of 72.530. Apart from car production, component manufacture is another cornerstone of activities at Wolfsburg. The components produced here, including drive shafts and plastic components, are used in vehicle production in Wolfsburg and at other Group plants.
